Gozran 4th, 4709 – The day was long cleaning up from the battle. We did not sleep at all last night or this day just busy helping prepare the dead for burial. The time of joy turn into a night of horror as most of the women, children and old were targeted by the Red Mantis. It was a sad day lining the death for burial. I spent most of the day caring for the wounded and was able to save the lives of a few of the seriously wounded. The attack fueled the Skylar Quah why they need the tribes to unite to attack and destroy Korvasa. The Sun Shaman came to us and asked if any of us have a close contact with a dead relative. Andrian spoke up and told him about his grandmother. He nodded and told us to come before sunrise tomorrow to be part of the Blessings of the Ancestors ceremony. I ask the Sun Shaman who he would like me to project from being a walking dead. I was able to protect four of the Skylar Quah most powerful warriors with my gentle repose ritual.
Gozran 5th, 4709 – Early in the morning the tribe gather on the hill top were the Legend That Walks took the challenge of the totem. The Sun Shaman asked us all to hold hands as he performed the ritual ceremony of the “Blessings of the Ancestors”. The Legend That Walks told us the Sun Shaman spoke about the history of the Skylar Quah and Shoanti. It was a long ritual and then all of a sudden a spirit of a beautiful human girl who turned out to be Andrian grandmother Zellara appeared. She went around the circle looking at everyone and stopped in front of me and nodded as to tell me she knew me. The Skylar Quah she quickly past by then she return to Andrian and in a moment entered Andrian body and recited this cryptic poem. With the help of Rizzle and other we wrote down the poem she told us.
Fate of Steel-Serithial
Her cage for years sustained
Four enthralled in lost Scarwall;
Undead to keep her chained.
A spirit first, red war his thirst
Still stands at post of old;
A second foe, infernal soul
Waits high in tower cold.
In Kennel’s grime third bides his time
Then vents his killing breath.
And on a stone ‘mid ash and bone,
The final dreams of death.
The spirits worn and battle torn
And locked in their damnation,
The Chained One’s hold at last grows old
And ushers in salvation.
Yet hope remains amid the chains
When blade’s stone cage has crumbled
Friends to dread and the death of the dead,
Keys to Kazavon humbled.
After she told us the poem Andrian told us he received a flash of the past and the future but had no memory of the poem. Then Trinia wanted us all to take a card from her deck again and I pick the card with an Owl on it. I still do not see the value in these but it makes Trinia and Andrian happy when I pick a card. She then laid some cards out telling us what could or has happen and seems to be our tale. After the ritual we buried the dead of the Skylar Quah Tribe. Then we prepared to travel to the place called Scarwall. The Sun Shamon prepared us a map on how to find Scarwall.
Gozran 6th, 4709 – As we are being seen off from what is left of the Sklar Quah tribe the Sun Shaman performed a special “Ritual of the Sun” on us. He told us this ritual will aid us in our quest and will last until we have retrieved the sword of Serithial. Just as we mounted the phantom steeds we saw two riders coming from opposite direction towards us. We waited to see what they would do. When they got close to us they first argued with each other in dislike and distrust why the other was here. We found out that the one in a red garb is Shadowcount Sial a priest of Zon-Kuthon who is a middle aged Chelaxian human. The other was a female Shaddar-Kai named Laori Vaus who has many tattoos and piercings on her body and is a holy assassin. When we were talking to them Rizzle ask the Truthspeaker Akram to come and tell us if they speak the truth. While talking I was looking at Laori and tried to tell if she was an undead or not. Since I could not tell I cast my turn undead and it did not hurt her. So, she is not an undead but sure look like she wants to be. After talking with them the Truthspeaker could tell us what they spoke was true but they never reveled why they needed to travel with us. With mistrust our selves we allowed them to come and help on our quest. We are sure they will turn on us once we have retrieved the sword Serithial. But for now they will ride with us to Scarwall knowing where they are is better than not knowing.
Gozran 7th, 4709 – We travel across the Cinderlands able to leave the Cinderlands behind us. We will soon be entering the lands of the orc.
Gozran 8th, 4709 – We are now seeing orc patrols but with the speed of the phantom steeds able to leave them far behind us. We now have two on watch as I’m on watch with Shadowcount Sial.
Gozran 9th, 4709 – Another ride in the lands of Belkzen we see a few towns but go around them as he have enough supplies and we do not want any trouble because of the two who travel with us.
Gozran 10th, 4709 – We are making good time as we have come over two thirds of the way to Scarwall. Torag was been with us and kept us safe.
Gozran 11th, 4709 – We should make Scarwall tomorrow evening if we have another good ride with no problems. Our two new traveling companions have been good so far but I’m still asking Torag to warn me before they turn on us.
